White Quartz Cleaning Hack - remove stains from your new construction white quartz countertops!
White quartz, oh how we have a love/hate relationship. If you’re here reading this, you’re either thinking about installing white quartz and want to make sure you can get stains out OR you’ve installed it and have experienced your first STAIN. (oh the horror!)
No matter how much research you’ve done, and how much you’ve read on the internet about white quartz’ durability and stain resistance – if it’s white, it’s going to stain.
We just installed white quartz throughout our whole house, so I knew it was going to happen eventually! Sure enough, about two months into living in our new construction home IT happened and I was able to test out this white quartz stain cleaning hack!
Spoiler alert, IT WORKED. I went in with low expectations, but was hoping for the best!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need for this white quartz stain cleaning hack:
Dawn dish soap (I used the regular/original blue dawn, but I am sure any of their varieties would work!)
Cleaning gloves (optional)
Cleaning sponge or rag
Once you have all of your necessities, you can start to tackle your white quartz stain!
Here’s how:
Directly on the stain, pour out a decent amount of the Clorox toilet bowl cleaner AND Dawn dish soap.
Mix the two on the quartz stain with your finger.
Let sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes.
Come back and rinse off your white quartz with warm water and a sponge.
Finish up by spraying the Sprayaway glass cleaner to get up any leftover residue from your mixture.
